Peddi movie review

What a movie and What action By Ram Charan! No doubt his career best performance ever! 10/10 for acting and obviously the movie will be a super hit.
My review is about this song and the cringe elements in it!! I saw the song Chikri Chikri many times on tv and found the dancing superb. No wonder the song is also a super hit online. But it was an OMG moment for me when i watched it in the movie. This song is right after the hero (Ram Charan) forcefully kisses the heroine (by his guy switching off the lights). This song is not a romance song or something!! It is the song of a guy lusting for a woman after he ogled her publicly and could not resist touching her & kissing her!! Then i heard the lyrics properly!! There are outright vulgar and are carried off in style only because a top actor was dancing to them! some excerpts—-
Padatha Padatha Padatha
(I’ll chase you, I’ll chase you , I’ll chase you)
Venake Venake Padatha
(I’ll keep chasing after you)
Saraku Saamanu Choosi Meesam Lechi Vese Keka
(Saraku Saamanu means her body parts – Seeing them his mustache rises and shouts)
Em Buggavo Andhalu Ollantha Vankelu
(What cheeks you have, your whole body is full of curves)
Nee Madhye Daagindha Tati Kallu
(in the middle of your body Is ‘Tati Kallu’ (palm toddy) hidden?)
Just imagine – such cheap lyrics passed off as a high profile romantic number! An there was so much trolling of Jhanvi on her depiction! What can she do? if she doesn’t do the role someone else will do! If she doesn’t agree to be objectified, someone else will agree! Don’t the heros listen to the lyrics before dancing to them? Doesn’t the director know? So, it is the heros and directors who have to be trolled for vulgar lyrics and foul lines directed at heroines rather than the heroines themselves.
If hero pursues a woman despite her lack of interest, it’s ok but if a villian does it, it is wrong!! Thsi thing is gotta change! Comment YES if you agree with me
